the orange

the orange is an exploration of art and grief, a process of processing, a eulogy and a baptism (in orange juice, naturally). Taking inspiration, images, and words from a wide source list including Louise Bourgeois, Euripides, Brené Brown, Uptown Girls, Roland Barthes, Bob Fosse, medical texts, the diary and medical records of the performer/creator’s mother, her own notes app, and more, "the orange" follows a young woman artist's attempt to create in the wake of her mother's death, asking “what does it mean for one’s life and generative process to be fused with the death of a loved one?”
